Words cannot express the sadness 35★45 feels as we announce the death of our dear friend and partner, Robin Birmingham. For twenty-two years she has been the heart and soul of the company. Robin lost her fight with Good Pasture’s Syndrome on Sunday evening, April 17, 2016. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, John Birmingham. John and I were by her side when she passed.
She contracted this rare disease just under a year ago. Robin fought the illness with her courageous spirit and by last October was in remission. She was even able to return to work on a reduced schedule. In mid-November she started having mild strokes and heart attacks. She fought back each time, astounding the physicians and therapists who were treating her. However, over the last two weeks, the strokes left her debilitated. Because this is a very rare auto-immune disorder, little is known about the correlation of strokes to the disorder.
We hope you will join us in celebrating Robin’s life by remembering the vivacious, personable Robin we all loved.
Her family is planning a Memorial Service to be held at First United Methodist Church Fulshear, 8201 Harris Street, Fulshear, TX 77441 at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 30 with a reception to follow. Donations in memory of Robin can be made to First United Methodist Church Fulshear or the American Kidney Foundation. You may send condolence cards to our office. We will gather them for the family. If you plan to attend the service, please call Selena Sotelo at 713-789-3323.
